PhD dissertation: Non-Invasive Ultrasound Technology for condition monitoring 28. mars 2014

PhD candidate Magne Aanes will defend his thesis 'Interaction of piezoelectric transducer excited ultrasonic pulsed beams with a fluid-embedded viscoelastic plate' on March 28 at UiB.

Ultrasound technology is non-invasive and therefore of particular interest in condition monitoring of oil & gas pipelines (cracks and corrosion), detection of (non-desirable) hydrate formation in pipe lines, flow measurement and many more applications. (in Norwegian only)

Magne has been attached to the project 'Fiscal Metering' which is a part of the Michelsen Centre. He is now employed at the UiB as a lecturer and at Christian Michelsen Reserach AS as a scientist.
